Born and raised in the US Midwest, my creative journey began with art studies at Miami University and Carnegie Mellon University in the '80s. At the age of 20, my pursuit of a creative life led me to New York City, where I briefly veered into the world of investment banking, before transitioning to software development where my imaginative and innovative thinking could be harnessed to support myself.
Over three decades, I my day job turned into a career as a software engineer and eventually engineering manager, through the emergence of e-commerce and digital reading. This ultimately brought me to Madrid, where I led the Kindle Library team for Amazon Spain.
Throughout this journey, I never abandoned my first love and have worked in parallel to develop as an artist, happily devoting my free time to drawing, painting, sculpting and most recently animation. In Madrid I was happy to begin exhibiting my work, in group exhibits at Garaje Lola, and Fucar22 Art Gallery. My work has also begun to make it’s way into private collections.
In 2024, after years of immersing myself in the logical abstractions of software engineering, I made the decision to leave behind the comfort and predictability of corporate day jobs and embrace the realm of art, where I can finally dedicate my time to unleashing my creativity.
